Standing across the bay on Alcatraz Island, I imagine the longing and sadness a prisoner might have felt being close to the beautiful city by the Bay, but knowing I cannot go.

A Different View
Many people are familiar with the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Typically the shot that people know is of the Domed Rotund. On this November evening the bare tree just called to me.
